The Australian Philatelic Order Presentation Dinner was held on Saturday, 11 September in Adelaide at which three distinguished philatelists became Members of the Order and one was presented with the APO Research Award.

 

The newest Members of the Order are:  John Bell (South Australia), Ian McMahon (ACT) and Michel Roland (South Australia) - pictured left.   Bryan Young (Victoria) received the APO Research Award.  Click on the links to read their citations.

 

The Australian Philatelic Order was established by the APF in 1994 to recognize and honour philatelists who have given distinguished service to Australian Philately with the awards dinner now an established highlight of the Australian philatelic calendar.  Nominees are considered on the basis of their services to organized philately, which includes distinguished philatelic study and research. This includes judging, and promotion of philatelic and public dissemination including teaching
