The show was considered an overall success by those who attended it from a dealer, public and competitor viewpoint.  The usual smooth running organisation was able to hold the review in front of the frames by late Saturday afternoon and to announce the prizewinners by 6pm on Saturday.

Each entrant received a laminated certificate bearing on the reverse the complete type written annotated judges critique sheet. A photo of each exhibit and celebratory gold plated philatelic spoon was also provided.

Three entries reached the Diamond level.  One a first time entrant and the winning team was the Philatelic Society of NSW in a close race winning by one point from the Commonwealth Collectors Club.  The winning team comprised of Geoff Lewis, Scott Treacey, Andrew Brockett and Linda Lee received a Paul Storm designed engraved glass plate and the entrants each received a small quartz clock as a memento.  This entry had two well-regarded participants and two first time entrants.  Overall best individual entrant was Kevin Dwyer's Social entry of Douglas Mawson & the 1911-1914 AAE & 1930 BANZ Expeditions.

Because of the large number of Traditional entries there was also a best traditional prize awarded to Scott Treacey for his entry "G.B. The organisers wish to thank all the club volunteers from Manly-Warringah Philatelic Society and the Leagues Club Stamp Club as well as the willing helpers from the other societies entered particularly John Moore from Newcastle and Phillip Green from Smithfield.  It was a great cooperative effort.
