Philatelic Development Council of New South Wales

The Philatelic Development Council (PDC) which has replaced the former New South Wales Stamp Council Inc. is responsible for:

liaison with the Australian Philatelic Federation Limited
the development of philately in NSW.
philatelic exhibitions held in NSW
liaison with recognized Australian stamp trade bodies
Youth Philately, training for State Level jurors, training for exhibitors and the provision of information on philately on request.

Philatelic Development Council Services

Display Frames

The Council has a covered trailer, which carries 20 aluminium display frames (5' x 3', 15 pages) complete with square aluminium section legs and steel feet. The trailer is set up for towing by a normal sedan or station wagon fitted with a tow-bar. Bookings for the trailer should be made at least two months in advance, by writing to the Council at GPO Box 9800, Sydney 2001.

Activities to Enhance Club Meetings

To assist groups to arrange philatelic activities for meeting programmes or Bourses. Contact the Secretary for information on the availability of guest speakers, videos and slides.

Junior Stamp Meetings and Holiday Programs

Junior Stamp Meetings are held each month at the following localities: Campbelltown; Newcastle; Sussex Inlet; Sutherland; Sydney; Toronto. For details of meeting times and places contact the NSW Youth Convenor on 02 9712 2987

Holiday Meetings - Sydney Group - Meets at PHILAS House, 17 Brisbane Street, Darlinghurst, on the last Thursday of each school holidays (10.30am to 3.00pm).

Newcastle/Lake Macquarie Group - Meets at Hamilton Public School, Dixon Street Hamilton, on the second Thursday of each school holidays.
