Singpex '98

Singpex '98, the twelfth Asian International Philatelic Exhibition was held at the Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre (SUNTEC City) from 23 to 26 July 1998, the Asean 98 a Singapore National Stamp Exhibition held in conjunction.  One hundred and five senior and thirty three junior competitive entries and thirty four literature entries representing seventeen FIAP countries participated.  Separate juries operated for each of the exhibitions, although both juries used the FIP medal point scale.  Two Australians, Dr Ed Druce and Raymond Todd were members of the Singpex jury.  Raymond Todd also served on the Expert Group.

In addition to the twenty two exhibitors who participated, four dealers (Charles Leski, Lion City Stamps, Shields Stamps and Coins and Barry Jarrett) were in attendance, and an exhibit entitled Mauritius by De La Rue by Peter Jaffe featured in the Court of Honour.
