Sunstamp 2008

Sunstamp 2008 a half national Australian exhibition was held in the Commerce Buildings at the Brisbane R.N.A Showgrounds from 22-24th August.  Classes offered were Traditional Philately, Postal Stationery, Thematic Philately and Youth. One entry was transferred to Open Class.

The exhibition which attracted 244 frames of exhibits was well supported by Australia Post, over 20 dealers and a steady stream of visitors over the three days.

The Best Show Exhibit was Colin Larsen's exhibit 'The 1898 New Zealand Pictorial Stamp Issue' which received the APF prize of a Crystal Centrepiece.  Other major winners Included Arthur Gray - Champion Traditional (prize donated by Australia Post), Earle Covert (Canada) - Champion Postal Stationery Exhibit and Linda Lee who received the Betty van Tenac Award for the Champion Thematic Exhibit.
