Stamp Shows are fun places for young people.

coloring in and stamp designs are always fun                                            Some shows conduct special kids auctions

Most exhibitions and stamp and coin shows cater really well for young collectors.   All shows are different, so it always pays to have a good look around.  When you get there, ask to see the event program so you don't miss out on things like kids auctions, activities, competitions and other special activities.

A quick look around will usually reveal there's lots to see and do.  Most have "youth corners" where you can join in activities like coloring in, designing stamps, and cool stuff that often includes the chance to win stamps for your collection.

Very often you will be given "show bags" at the youth corner or at the Australia Post stand.

pick out your favourite subjects and countries          Seeing what the dealers have to offer            Mick Meyles (Tasmania)

If it is a competitive stamp show, you will be able to see some exhibits by young people and adults. The entries in the thematic, aerophilately and maximum cards may be of special interest to you, but a quick walk around all the frames can often show you some unusual and interesting material and info about this great hobby.  There's almost always a youth section.

Check out the APF site for more exhibitions, there may be one coming near you soon.
